Health Coaching
Health coaching is a collaborative, empowering approach that puts you in the driver’s seat of your wellbeing journey. Health and wellness coaches are trained to listen deeply, empathise, and honour your goals, motivations, and strengths, creating a safe space where you feel empowered to make meaningful lifestyle changes.
Often, the demands of life can make us lose sight of our goals and the bigger picture. A health coach helps keep you grounded, reminding you of the vision and values you hold dear, and guiding you back on track when overwhelm threatens to derail your progress. Our purpose is to help you find and maintain a clear, authentic direction—one that aligns with who you truly are and brings you a sense of purpose and fulfilment.
Through engaging conversations, your coach helps elicit your ambitions and empowers you to turn them into achievable actions. Drawing from your own past successes, they’ll encourage resilience, shift your mindset for change, and guide you toward sustainable, value-aligned lifestyle transformations. Importantly, a health coach respects your autonomy and facilitates your growth without imposing external solutions or advice. Should specialised expertise be required, they’ll connect you with the appropriate professionals.
What Health Coaches Do Not Do
While health coaches are instrumental in facilitating lifestyle change, they aren’t a replacement for medical or mental health professionals. Health coaches do not:
- Diagnose or treat illnesses
- Act as therapists or counsellors unless qualified in those areas
- Prescribe health supplements, diet, or workout plans
- Directly administer advice or share personal wellness practices
Our role is not to give prescriptions or quick-fix solutions but to provide a safe, supportive partnership where your unique needs, values, and aspirations guide the way. This approach empowers you to find balance, overcome challenges, and live with greater fulfilment.
Mental Health Coaching
Mental Health Coaching is a supportive partnership that focuses on enhancing your emotional wellbeing, mental resilience, and overall quality of life. Unlike therapy, which often addresses past trauma or diagnoses, mental health coaching is future-focused and goal-oriented, helping you develop the tools to manage life’s challenges, improve self-awareness, and achieve a greater sense of balance and fulfilment.
In my coaching practice, I integrate principles from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a powerful approach that helps you build a healthy relationship with your thoughts and emotions rather than trying to control or avoid them. ACT teaches us to acknowledge our inner experiences—whether positive or negative—without judgement, allowing us to focus instead on actions aligned with our values.
One of my main aims with Mental Health Coaching is to offer you a very safe, warm space where you can feel fully heard and supported. Together, we’ll work through life’s intricacies, digging as deep as needed to uncover insights and create a path forward that feels aligned with your most authentic self. My goal is to help you find clarity, understanding, and a sense of lightness, while equipping you with tools to face challenges confidently. This process is all about creating a life that reflects who you truly are and aligns with what you genuinely desire—on your terms, with your values at the core.
